The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Cornwall: The byelection in Bude division held on 23 August was won by David Parsons. Liberal Democrat hold.
  • East Hertfordshire: The byelection in Watton-at-Stone ward held on 23 August was won by Sophie Bell. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
  • Knowsley: The byelection in Halewood South ward held on 23 August was won by Gary See, who returns to the council after losing his seat in May. Labour hold.
  • North Warwickshire: The byelection in Newton Regis and Warton ward held on 23 August was won by Marian Humphreys. Conservative hold.
  • Rushcliffe: The byelection in Gotham ward held on 23 August was won by Rex Walker. Conservative hold.
  • Wirral: The byelection in Bromborough ward held on 23 August was won by Jo Bird. Labour hold.

  • Cambridgeshire: Soham North and Isleham division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Paul Raynes who has taken a politically restricted job with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Term ends 2021.
  • Hambleton: Thirsk ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Janet Watson. Term ends May next year.

Dates for byelections

  • Hambleton: The byelection due in Thirsk ward will be held on 4 October.
  • Lichfield: The byelection due in Stowe ward will be held on 27 September.
  • Nottingham: The byelection due in Clifton North ward will be held on 27 September.
