Tory chances in Chichester go Southbourne

The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Angus: The byelection in Arbroath East and Lunan ward on 28 November was won by Brenda Durno. Scottish National Party gain from Independent.
Chichester: The byelection in Southbourne ward on 1 December was won by Jonathan Brown. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Dorset: The byelection in Ferndown division on 1 December was won by Andrew Parry. Conservative gain from the UK Independence Party.
Corporation of London: The byelection in Walbrook ward on 1 December was won by Peter Bennett. It was a nonpartisan election.
South Northamptonshire: The byelection in Grange Park ward on 1 December was won by Andrew Grant. Conservative hold.
Tower Hamlets: The byelection in Whitechapel ward on 1 December was won by Shafi Ahmed. He stood as an Independent, succeeds an Independent who was elected for Tower Hamlets First, but has not committed himself to join the Independent group on the council.
Warwick: The byelection in Myton and Heathcote ward on 1 December was won by Mary Noone. Conservative hold.

Cardiff: Manzoor Ahmed, who was elected for the Labour Party in Adamsdown division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Tendring: John Brown, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Harwich West ward, has left the party group to sit as a non-aligned councillor.
Tendring: Jack Parsons, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in St Pauls ward, has joined the Labour Party.

Cardiff: Llandaff North division, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sue White. As her term would have ended in May, she will not be replaced in a byelection.
Durham: Coxhoe division, after the resignation of Labour councillor Mac Williams who is retiring. His term was due to end in May so there will be no byelection.
Rotherham: Brinsworth and Catcliffe ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Andrew Roddison following his conviction for assault. Term ends 2020.
Salford: Kersal ward, after the death of Labour councillor Harry Davies. Term ends 2019.

Sunderland: The byelection due in Sandhill ward will be held on 12 January 2017.
Three Rivers: The byelection due in Gade Valley ward will be held on 12 January 2017.
