The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Broadland: The byelection in Aylsham ward on 17 March was won by Steve Riley who returns to the council after losing his seat last May. Liberal Democrat gain from the Conservatives.
  • Corporation of London: The byelection in Lime Street ward was unopposed. Dominic Christian was declared elected at the wardmote on 16 March. The election was non-partisan.
  • Corporation of London: The byelection in Tower ward held on 16 March was won by Anne Fairweather. The election was non-partisan.
  • North Kesteven: The byelection in Ashby de la Launde and Cranwell ward on 17 March was won by Steve Clegg. Lincolnshire Independents gain from the Conservatives.
  • Redcar and Cleveland: The byelection in Hutton ward on 17 March was won by Caroline Jackson. Conservative hold.

  • Argyll and Bute: Oban North and Lorn ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Iain Angus MacDonald. Term ends 2017.
  • Denbighshire: Diserth division, after the death of Conservative councillor Peter Owen. Term ends 2017.
  • East Riding of Yorkshire: East Wolds and Coastal ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Margaret Chapman. Term ends 2019.
  • Glasgow: Anderston/City ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Gordon Matheson. Term ends 2017.
  • Hackney: Hackney Downs ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Rick Muir. Term ends 2018.
  • Hackney: Stoke Newington Central ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Louisa Thomson. Term ends 2018.
  • Havering: Heaton ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Philip Hyde, who was elected for the UK Independence Party. Term ends 2018.
  • Mole Valley: Ashtead Common ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor John Northcott, who has since died. Term ends 2019.
  • Newark and Sherwood: Balderton South ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Gordon Brooks. Term ends 2019.
  • Nuneaton and Bedworth: Exhall ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Roma Taylor. Term ends 2018.
  • Southampton: Harefield ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Royston Smith, now Member of Parliament for Southampton Itchen. Term ends 2018.
  • Southampton: Woolston ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Caran Chamberlain. Term ends 2018.
  • Surrey: Staines South and Ashford West division, after the resignation of UK Independence Party councillor Daniel Jenkins. Term ends 2017.
  • Torbay: Tormohun ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Andy Lang over excessive infighting. Term ends 2019.
  • Waveney: Wrentham ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Martin Parsons. Term ends 2019.
  • Westminster: Church Street ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Vincenzo Rampulla. Term ends 2018.
  • Wirral: Liscard ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Matthew Daniel. Term ends 2018.
