Independent 4. Historic county on a peninsula between the Forth and Tay estuaries. Previously included a mining area; includes naval dockyard at Rosyth, new town of Glenrothes, and university city of St Andrews.

James Leslie (Kirkcaldy North) moved from Conservative to Independent in August 2026; Darren Watt (Cowdenbeath) did so in July 2026. Kathleen Leslie (Burntisland, Kinghorn and Western Kirkcaldy) moved from Conservative to Labour in July 2026. Stefan Hoggan (Cupar) moved from Scottish National Party to Independent in March 2026.
