Other updates
- Thanet: After some wrangling over the issue, the council has insisted that Ian Venables (who was elected as a Labour councillor in Margate Central ward) was disqualified from serving as a councillor through working on secondment for the council’s rough sleeping housing team. However as his council term was due to expire in May, the council believe that it is covered by the ‘six month rule’ so that no byelection may be held.
