The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Bassetlaw: The byelection in East Retford West ward held on 15 November was won by Matthew Callingham. Labour hold.
Kent: The byelection in Canterbury North division held on 15 November was won by Robert Thomas. Conservative hold.
Oxfordshire: The byelection in Grove and Wantage division held on 15 November was won by Jane Hanna. Liberal Democrat hold.
Stroud: The byelection in Dursley ward held on 15 November was won by Trevor Hall. Labour hold.
Changes of allegiance
South Lanarkshire: George Greenshields, who was elected for the Labour Party in Clydesdale South ward, has joined the Independent group. In addition Davie McLachlan, who was elected for the Labour Party in Hamilton North and East ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Bradford: Bolton and Undercliffe ward, after the death of Labour councillor and former council leader Ian Greenwood. Term ends 2022.
Cheshire East: Haslington ward, after the death of Conservative councillor John Hammond. As his term was due to end in May, he will not be replaced in a byelection.
Northampton: Delapre and Briar Hill ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Victoria Culbard. Term ends May next year.
Teignbridge: Teign Valley ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Amanda Ford. As her term was due to end in May, there will be no byelection.
Dates for byelections
Charnwood: The byelection due in Anstey ward will be held on 20 December.
Corporation of London: An election of Alderman for Broad Street ward will be held on 13 December. The incumbent, Michael Mainelli, intends to seek re-election.
Northampton: The byelection due in Delapre and Briar Hill ward will be held on 29 November.
Peterborough: It is confirmed that Richard Ferris and Matthew Mahabadi both resigned on 6 November – within six months of the end of their term, so the vacancies in East ward and Park ward cannot be filled in byelections.
