Results

Bury: The byelection in Besses ward held on 19 July was won by Lucy Smith. Labour hold.
Carmarthenshire: The byelection in Saron division held on 19 July was won by Karen Davies. Plaid Cymru hold.
Milton Keynes: The byelection in Bletchley East ward held on 19 July was won by Emily Darlington. Labour hold.
Northamptonshire: The byelection in St George division held on 19 July was won by Anjona Roy. Labour hold.
Oxford: The byelection in Headington ward held on 19 July was won by Stef Garden. Liberal Democrat hold.
West Lancashire: The byelection in Hesketh-with-Becconsall ward held on 19 July was won by Joan Witter. Conservative hold.

Barking and Dagenham: Laila Butt, who was elected for the Labour Party in Abbey ward, has had the Labour whip suspended pending investigations.
Edinburgh: Claire Bridgman, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Drum Brae / Gyle ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Greenwich: Tonia Ashikodi, who was elected for the Labour Party in Glyndon ward, has had the party whip suspended after she was charged with criminal offences.
Rutland: Richard Alderman, who was elected as an Independent candidate in Oakham South West ward through drawing lots last week, has immediately become the subject of a complaint over his facebook posts and is not affiliated with the council’s Independent group.
Suffolk: Steve Ardley, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Gunton division, has been suspended from the party over remarks about Sadiq Khan.
Waveney: Steve Ardley, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Gunton and Corton ward, has been suspended from the party over remarks about Sadiq Khan.

Chesterfield: Moor ward, after the death of Labour councillor Keith Brown. Term ends May next year.
Cumbria: Denton Holme division, after the death of veteran Labour county councillor Hugh McDevitt. Term ends 2021.
City of London: William Russell has surrendered the office of Alderman for Bread Street ward.
Neath Port Talbot: Gwynfi division, after the resignation of Labour councillor Ralph Thomas. Term ends 2022.
North Yorkshire: Knaresborough division, after the resignation of Conservative county councillor Nicola Wilson. Term ends 2021.
Rushcliffe: Gotham ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Stuart Matthews. Term ends May next year.
Wyre Forest: Bewdley and Rock ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Rod Wilson. Term ends 2020.

Cornwall: The byelection due in Bude division will be held on 23 August.
East Hertfordshire: The byelection due in Watton-at-Stone ward will be held on 23 August.
City of London: The poll for the election of an Alderman for Bread Street ward will be held on 30 August.
Neath Port Talbot: The byelection due in Gwynfi division will be held on 16 August.
North Yorkshire: The byelection due in Knaresborough division will be held on 16 August.
Rushcliffe: The byelection due in Gotham ward will be held on 23 August.
Wirral: The byelection due in Bromborough ward will be held on 23 August.
