The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Doncaster: The byelection in Town ward held on 14 June was won by Tosh McDonald. Labour hold.
- Southwark: The postponed election in London Bridge and Bermondsey West ward on 14 June was won by the three Liberal Democrat candidates Humaira Ali, William Houngbo and Damian O’Brien.
Changes of allegiance
- Burnley: The two councillors who had formed the ‘Free Independent Party’ have now joined the Labour Party. They are husband and wife Bill Brindle and Margaret Brindle who were both elected for the Liberal Democrats in Coalclough with Deerplay ward.
- Fenland: Sarah Bligh, who was elected for the Conservatives in Parson Drove and Wisbech St Mary ward, has Kirklees: Gemma Wilson, who was elected for the Conservatives in Lindley ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats. Meanwhile Bernard McGuin, also elected for the Conservatives in Almondbury ward, has been suspended from the party over controversial tweets.
- Milton Keynes: Andy Dransfield, who was elected for the Conservatives in Loughton and Shenley ward, has left the party due to failure to pay membership subscriptions, and is therefore sitting as an Independent councillor.
- North Lanarkshire: Paddy Hogg, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Cumbernauld East ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent. He cited an atmosphere of ‘toxic bullying’ as the reason.
- South Ayrshire: Julie Dettbarn, who was elected for the Scottish National Party in Kyle ward, has been suspended from her party over use of offensive language.
- Wyre: Ruth Duffy and Ian Duffy, who were both elected for the Labour Party in Mount ward, have left the party to sit as Independent councillors.
New vacancies
- Hartlepool: Rural West ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Ray Martin-Wells. Term ends 2020.
- Lewes: Chailey and Wivelsfield ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Cyril Sugarman. Term ends 2019.
- Milton Keynes: Bletchley East ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Alan Webb. Term ends 2019.
- Peterborough: Orton Longueville ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor June Bull. Term ends 2019.

- Carmarthenshire: The byelection due in Saron division will be held on 19 July.
- Hartlepool: The byelection due in Rural West ward will be held on 12 July.
- Lewes: The byelection due in Chailey and Wivelsfield ward will be held on 12 July.
- Milton Keynes: The byelection due in Bletchley East ward will be held on 19 July.
- Oxford: The byelection due in Headington ward will be held on 19 July.
Other update
- Moray: Following the collapse of an Independent-Conservative coalition, the Scottish National Party has taken minority control of the council.
