The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Result

East Staffordshire: The byelection in Crown ward held on 7 June was won by Gordon Marjoram. Conservative hold.
Mid Devon: The byelection in Cranmore ward on 7 June was won by Lance Kennedy. Conservative hold.
South Oxfordshire: The byelection in Benson and Crowmarsh ward on 7 June was won by Sue Cooper, who regains the seat she held from 1991 to 2011. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.

Isle of Wight: Julia Baker-Smith, who was elected as an Independent candidate in Whippingham and Osborne ward, has joined the Labour Party.
Maldon: Helen Elliott, who was elected for the Conservatives in Burnham-on-Crouch North ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Stoke-on-Trent: Richard Broughan, who was elected for the City Independents in Abbey Hulton and Townsend ward, has joined Ann-Marie Waters’s ‘For Britain’ party.
Tamworth: Andrew James, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Mercian ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Waveney: Nick Webb, who was elected for the Labour Party in Whitton ward but left the party in July 2016, has now joined the Conservative Party.

Barnsley: Old Town ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Anita Cherryholme. Term ends 2019.
Bury: Besses ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Elizabeth Fitzgerald. Term ends 2020.
Darlington: Cockerton ward, after the death of Labour councillor David Regan. Term ends 2019.
Elmbridge: Oxshott and Stoke D’Abernon ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor James Vickers. Term ends 2019.
Fife: Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Lesley Laird, now Member of Parliament for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath. Term ends 2022.
Northamptonshire: St George division, after the resignation of Labour county councillor Rachel Cooley. Term ends 2021.
Oxford: Headington ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Ruth Wilkinson. Term ends 2020.
Shropshire: Shifnal South and Cosford division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Stuart West. Term ends 2021.
Thanet: Birchington South ward, after the death of Independent councillor Alan Howes, who was elected for the UK Independence Party. Term ends 2019.
Torridge: Hartland and Bradworthy ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Jane Leaper. Term ends 2019.
West Lancashire: Hesketh-with-Becconsall ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Paul Moon. Term ends 2020.

Northamptonshire: The byelection due in St George division will be held on 19 July.
Rutland: The byelection due in Oakham South West ward will be held on 12 July.
Shropshire: The byelection due in Shifnal South and Cosford division will be held on 5 July.
Waveney: The byelection due in Pakefield ward will be held on 12 July.

Moray: A bid by the Scottish National Party group to take control of the council was rejected by the convener at a council meeting on Wednesday. Talks continue, and a special full council meeting has been called for next Wednesday to decide who will run the council.
