- Aberdeenshire: The byelection in Inverurie and District ward on 12 October was won by Lesley Berry. Conservative hold.
- Ashfield: The byelection in Hucknall North ward on 12 October was won by John Wilmott. Ashfield Independents gain from Conservative.
- Sheffield: The byelection in Beighton ward on 12 October was won by Sophie Wilson. Labour hold.
- Tamworth: The byelection in Bolehall ward on 12 October was won by Sheree Peaple. Labour hold.
- Three Rivers: The byelection in Oxhey Hall and Hayling ward on 12 October was won by Keith Martin. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
- Wakefield: The byelection in Stanley and Outwood East ward on 12 October was won by Jack Hemingway. Labour hold.
- Warrington: The byelection in Chapelford and Old Hall ward on 12 October was won by Paul Warburton. Labour hold.

- Hertfordshire: Goffs Oak and Bury Green division, after the death of council leader Robert Gordon, a Conservative county councillor. Term ends 2021.
- Tandridge: Westway ward, after the impending resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Caroline Warner. Term ends 2020.
- Wakefield: Wakefield West ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Ryan Case. Term ends 2019.
