The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Changes of allegiance

Arun: Three members of the UK Independence Party group have recently left it. Colin Cates (River ward) and Vicky Rhodes (Courtwick with Toddington ward) have joined the Conservative Party, while Derek Ambler (Yapton ward) is now sitting as an Independent. This leaves only one UK Independence Party councillor who is unable to form a group, and is therefore sitting with the Independents.
Elmbridge: Christine Elmer, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Walton South ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
Redcar and Cleveland: Steve Turner, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Longbeck ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
Southend-on-Sea: James Moyies, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in West Shoebury ward but left with others to form the Southend Independence Group in May 2015, has now joined the Conservative Party.

Ashford: Bockhanger ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Luke Powell. Term ends
Broadland: Coltishall ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Alan Mallett. Term ends 2019.
Bury: Radcliffe East ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Nick Parnell. Term ends 2018.
Canterbury: Westgate ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor John Brazier. Term ends 2019.
Enfield: Enfield Lock ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Ozzie Uzoanya. Term ends 2018.
Leicester: Castle ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Lynn Senior due to ill health. Term ends 2019.
Mid Sussex: Hassocks ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Kevin Burke. Term ends 2019.
Mid Sussex: Hassocks ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Peter Martin. Term ends 2019.
North Kesteven: Ashby de la Launde ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Sarah Pearse. Term ends 2019.
North Kesteven: Heighington and Washborough ward, after the resignation of former Conservative council leader Marion Brighton. Term ends 2019.
York: Hull Road ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor David Levene. Term ends 2019.

Broadland: The byelection due in Coltishall ward will be held on 8 June.
Bury: The byelection due in Radcliffe East ward will be held on 8 June.
Canterbury: The byelection due in Westgate ward will be held on 8 June.
Enfield: The byelection due in Enfield Lock ward will be held on 18 May.
Leicester: The byelection due in Castle ward will be held on 8 June.
Mid Sussex: The byelection for two seats due in Hassocks ward will be held on 8 June.
North Kesteven: The byelection due in Ashby de la Launde ward will be held on 8 June.
North Kesteven: The byelection due in Heighington and Washborough ward will be held on 8 June.
North Lincolnshire: The byelection due in Brumby ward will be held on 8 June.
West Berkshire: The byelection due in Thatcham South and Crookham ward will be held on 8 June.
West Lancashire: The byelection due in Aughton Park ward will be held on 8 June.
York: The byelection due in Hull Road ward will be held on 8 June.
York: The byelection due in Micklegate ward will be held on 8 June.

Ceredigion: The election due on 4 May in Llandyfriog division has been postponed after the death of Neil Flower, who had been nominated as the Liberal Democrat candidate. The seat is held by Plaid Cymru.
Merthyr Tydfil: The election due on 4 May in Cyfarthfa division has been postponed to 8 June after the death of Ieuan Harris, who had been nominated as an Independent candidate. The three seats in the ward are held by two Merthyr Independents and one Labour councillor.
