The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Changes of allegiance
Ashford: Jim Wedgbury, who was elected for the Conservatives in Park Farm South ward, has been suspended from the party over a controversial tweet.
Cardiff: Ralph Cook, who was elected for the Labour Party in Trowbridge division but left the party last year and joined the Green Party, has now joined the Liberal Democrats.
Dundee: Tom Ferguson, who was elected for the Labour Party in Lochee ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor after he was deselected as a candidate for this May’s election.
Norfolk: Toby Coke, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Gayton and Nar Valley division, and had been leader of the UKIP and Independent Group, has left the party to sit as an unaligned Independent county councillor.
Renfrewshire: John Caldwell, who was elected for the Labour Party in Johnstone South, Elderslie and Howwood ward, has left the party to sit and stand for re-election as an Independent.
New vacancies
Bath and North East Somerset: Newbridge ward, after the resignation of Independent councillor Donal Hassett (originally elected as a Conservative) following his conviction. Term ends 2019.
Bridgend: Brackla division, after the death of Labour councillor Dave Sage. As his term was due to end in May, there will be no byelection.
Bury: Besses ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Alan Matthews. Term ends 2019.
Cambridge: Arbury ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Charlotte Perry. Term ends 2018.
Chelmsford: Moulsham and Central ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Victoria Camp. Term ends 2019.
Crawley: Maidenbower ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Ken Trussell. Term ends 2018.
East Staffordshire: Horninglow ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Julian Mott. Term ends 2019.
East Staffordshire: Shobnall ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Bill Ganley. Term ends 2019.
Gravesham: Coldharbour ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Sue Howes. Term ends 2019.
Gravesham: Painters Ash ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Les Howes. Term ends 2019.
Lewes: Seaford West ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor and former council leader Rob Blackman. Term ends 2019.

Test Valley: Valley Park ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Kath Tilling. Term ends 2019.
