The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
East Staffordshire: The byelection in Town ward on 2 February was won by Philip Hudson. Conservative hold.
Rotherham: The byelection in Brinsworth and Catcliffe ward on 2 February was won by Adam Carter. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
Rotherham: The byelection in Dinnington ward on 2 February was won by John Vjestica. Labour gain from UK Independence Party.
Changes of allegiance
Boston: Barrie Pierpoint, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Old Leake and Wrangle ward, but left the party immediately after the election, has now joined the Independent group. It is also noted that David Brown (Wyberton ward) moved from UK Independence Party to Conservative, while Stephen Ball (Skirbeck ward) moved from UK Independence Party to Unaligned last month.
Pendle: Nadeem Ahmed, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Whitefield ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Tower Hamlets: Andrew Cregan, who was elected for the Labour Party in Island Gardens ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats. He is opposed to the decision of the Labour Party to support the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill. As a result Labour no longer has an overall majority on the council.
New vacancy
Calderdale: Hipperholme and Lightcliffe ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Graham Hall. Term ends 2020.
Dates for byelections
Blackbpool: The byelection due in Warbreck ward will be held on 16 March.
Breckland: The byelection due in Saham Toney ward will be held on 16 March.
Harrow: The byelection due in Roxbourne ward will be held on 9 March.
Rutland: The byelection due in Exton ward will be held on 9 March.
Stratford-on-Avon: The byelection due in Red Horse ward will be held on 9 March.
