- Maidstone: The byelection in Shepway South ward on 8 September was won by John Barned. UK Independence Party hold.
- Mansfield: The byelection in Yeoman Hill ward on 8 September was won by John Coxhead. Labour hold.
- Sheffield: The byelection in Mosborough ward on 8 September was won by Gail Smith. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
