Results

East Devon: The byelection in Exmouth Littleham ward on 21 July was won by Bruce de Saram. Conservative hold.
East Devon: The byelection in Honiton St Michael’s ward on 21 July was won by Jenny Brown. Conservative hold.
Gwynedd: The byelection in Waunfawr division on 21 July was won by Edgar Owen. Plaid Cymru hold.
Hackney: The byelection in Hackney Central ward on 21 July was won by Sophie Conway. Labour hold.
Lancashire: The byelection in Chorley Rural North division on 21 July was won by Alan Cullens. Conservative hold.
Lewisham: The byelection in Bellingham ward on 21 July was won by Sue Hordijenko. Labour hold.
Newark and Sherwood: The byelection in Balderton South ward on 21 July was won by Lydia Hurst. Conservative hold.
Northampton: The byelection in Westone ward on 21 July was won by Brian Markham. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
Reading: The byelection in Southcote ward on 21 July was won by Jason Brock. Labour hold.
South Staffordshire: A byelection in Great Wyrley Town ward on 21 July was won by Mike Lawrence. Conservative hold. This byelection was not reported until early this week; the vacancy was left by the resignation of Conservative councillor Brian Bates and the term ends in 2019.
Tandridge: The byelection in Warlingham West ward on 21 July was won by Keith Prew. Conservative hold.

Barking and Dagenham: Dan Young, who was elected for the Labour Party in Heath ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Cambridgeshire: Simon Bywater, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Sawtry and Ellington division, has joined the Conservative Party.
Coventry: Glenn Williams, who was elected for the Conservative Party in Bablake ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor. His move follows reports of comments he made privately about immigration.
Devon: Robert Vint, who was elected for the Green Party in Totnes Rural division, has joined the Liberal Democrats.
Huntingdonshire: It is noted that Barry Chapman, elected for the Conservative Party in St Neots Priory Park ward, is currently sitting as an Independent Conservative.
South Hams: Robert Vint, who was elected for the Green Party in Totnes ward, has rejoined the Liberal Democrats. He had started his council career with them, but moved to the Green Party in 2010.
South Ribble: Four members from the Conservative group have resigned the whip, having lost confidence in Margaret Smith who was leader of the council. They are Paul Wharton (Farington East ward), Andrea Ball and Barbara Nathan (both Walton-le-Dale East ward), Michael Nathan (Walton-le-Dale West ward). Their move means the Conservatives no longer have a majority. Margaret Smith has since resigned as council leader.

Bournemouth: Kinson North ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor David Turtle. Term ends 2019.
East Riding of Yorkshire: South East Holderness ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Arthur Hodgson. Term ends 2019.
Highland: Culloden and Ardersier ward, after the death of Labour councillor John Ford. Term ends May next year.

Bournemouth: The byelection due in Kinson North ward will be held on 1 September.
Cornwall: The byelection due in Four Lanes division will be held on 1 September.
East Riding of Yorkshire: The byelection due in South East Holderness ward will be held on 4 August.
Gravesham: The byelection due in Pelham ward will be held on 18 August.
Kent: The byelection due in Gravesend East division will be held on 18 August.
Thanet: The byelection for two councillors in Northwood ward will be held on 18 August.
