The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Cornwall: The byelection in Newlyn and Goonhavern division on 28 July was won by Maggie Vale. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
East Hampshire: The byelection in The Hangers and Forest ward on 26 July was won by Keith Budden. Conservative hold.
Haringey: The byelection in Harringay ward on 28 July was won by Zena Brabazon, who returns to the council after being deselected for the 2014 elections. Labour hold.
Newport: The byelection in St Julian’s ward on 28 July was won by Carmel Townsend, widow of the late councillor Ed Townsend. Liberal Democrat hold.
South Hams: The byelection in Totnes ward on 27 July was won by John Birch. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour (who did not defend the seat).
Sutton: The byelection in Carshalton Central ward on 28 July was won by Chris Williams. Liberal Democrat hold.
Wychavon: The byelection in Droitwich West ward on 28 July was won by George Duffy. Conservative hold.
