Result
- Bexley: The byelection in St Michael’s ward on 30 June was won by Ray Sams. Conservative hold.
- Luton: The byelection in High Town ward on 30 June was won by Maahwish Mirza. Labour hold.
- Mole Valley: The byelection in Leatherhead North ward on 30 June was won by Joe Crome. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
- Vale of Glamorgan: The byelection in Rhoose division on 30 June was won by Adam Riley. He is an Independent succeeding another Independent.
New vacancies
- Hackney: The Mayoralty of Hackney, after the resignation of Jules Pipe (Labour) who has been appointed Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and Skills by London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Term ends 2018.
- Mansfield: Yeoman Hill ward, after the death of Labour councillor Lee Probert. Term ends 2019.
- North Lanarkshire: Coatbridge North and Glenboig ward, after the resignation of Scottish National Party councillor Fulton MacGregor, now Member of the Scottish Parliament for Coatbridge and Chryston. Term ends May next year.
- Sheffield: Mosborough ward, after the death of Labour councillor Isobel Bowler. Term ends 2018.
- South Hams: Totnes ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor David Horsburgh. Term ends 2019.
- Tandridge: Warlingham West ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Glynis Whittle. Term ends 2018.
- Thanet: Northwood ward, after the resignation of Democratic Independent Group councillor Konnor Collins, who was elected for the UK Independence Party. Term ends 2019.
- Thanet: Northwood ward, after the resignation of Democratic Independent Group councillor Helen Smith, who was elected for the UK Independence Party. Term ends 2019.

- Nottinghamshire: The byelection due in Bingham division will be held on 4 August.
- Renfrewshire: The byelection due in Renfrew South and Gallowhill ward will be held on 11 August.
- Rushcliffe: The byelection due in Cranmer ward will be held on 4 August.
- South Hams: The byelection due in Totnes ward will be held on 28 July.
