The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

New vacancies

  • Brighton and Hove: East Brighton ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Maggie Barradell for family reasons. Term ends 2019.
  • Cornwall: Newlyn and Goonhavern division, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Lisa Gorman. Term ends May next year.
  • Gwynedd: Waunfawr division, after the resignation of Plaid Cymru councillor Eurig Wyn. Term ends May next year.
  • Gwynedd: Y Felinheli division, after the resignation of Plaid Cymru councillor Sian Gwenllian, now Member of the National Assembly for Wales for Arfon constituency. Term ends May next year.
  • Haringey: Harringay ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor James Ryan. Term ends 2018.
  • Lewisham: Bellingham ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Ami Ibitson who has taken a role at the Greater London Authority. Term ends 2018.
  • Reading: Southcote ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Matt Lawrence. Term ends 2019.
  • Rushcliffe: Cranmer ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Martin Suthers. Term ends 2019.
  • Waverley: Farnham Castle ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Paddy Blagden due to ill health. Term ends 2019.
  • Worcestershire: Ombersley division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Maurice Bloomfield. Term ends May next year.

  • East Devon: The byelection due in Exmouth Littleham ward will be held on 21 July.
  • East Devon: The byelection due in Honiton St Michaels ward will be held on 21 July.
  • Gwynedd: The byelection due in Waunfawr division will be held on 14 July.
