Result
- Windsor and Maidenhead: The byelection in Sunninghill and South Ascot ward on 23 June was won by Julian Sharpe. Conservative hold.
Defections
- Calderdale: Rob Holden, who was elected for the Conservatives in Ryburn ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
- East Riding of Yorkshire: Dominic Peacock, who was elected for the Conservatives in Minster and Woodmansey ward, was first suspended and then expelled from the group over comments he made on Facebook about the murder of Jo Cox MP.
New vacancies
- Dorset: Ferndown division, after the death of Conservative county councillor John Wilson. Term ends May next year.
- East Dorset: Parley ward, after the death of Conservative councillor John Wilson. Term ends 2019.
- Sutton: Carshalton Central ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Alan Salter over financial allegations. Term ends 2018.

- Cornwall: The byelection due in Newlyn and Goonhavern division will be held on 28 July.
- East Hampshire: The byelection due in The Hangers and Forest ward will be held on Tuesday 26 July.
- Gwynedd: The byelection due in Waunfawr division will be held on 21 July rather than 14 July as notified last week.
- Haringey: The byelection due in Harringay ward will be held on 28 July.
- Newport: The byelection due in St Julian’s division will be held on 28 July.
- Sutton: The byelection due in Carshalton Central ward will be held on 28 July.
