• Aylesbury Vale: The byelection in Grendon Underwood and Brill ward on 23 December was won by Cameron Branston. Conservative hold.

New vacancies

• Cambridgeshire: Sutton division, after the death of Conservative county councillor Philip Read. Term ends 2017.
• Dudley: Kingswinford North and Wall Heath ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Natalie Neale. Term ends 2018.
• Havant: Bondfields ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Frida Edwards. Term ends 2018.
• Stockton-on-Tees: Parkfield and Oxbridge ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor David Rose. Term ends 2019.
• Wealden: Crowborough East ward, after the death of Conservative Peter Cowie. Term ends 2019.

• Bolton: The byelection due in Crompton ward will be held on 11 February 2016.
• Coventry: The byelection due in Lower Stoke ward will be held on 11 February 2016.
