Results
- Ashfield: The byelection in Selston ward on 26 November was won by Christine Quinn-Wilcox. Selston Parish Independents hold.
- Fife: The byelection in Dunfermline North ward on 26 November was won by Ian Ferguson. Scottish National Party hold.
- Fife: The byelection in Rosyth ward on 26 November was won by Sharon Wilson. Scottish National Party hold.
- Gwynedd: The byelection in Pwllheli South division on 26 November was won by Hefin Underwood who stood without a party description. He gained his seat from Llais Gwynedd.
- Lancaster: The byelection in Carnforth and Millhead ward on 26 November was won by George Askew. Conservative hold.
- Newport: The byelection in Bettws division on 26 November was won by Janet Cleverly who stood as an Independent candidate. She retains a seat previously held by an Independent.
- Nottinghamshire: The byelection in Selston division on 26 November was won by David Martin. Selston Parish Independents hold.
- Rochford: The byelection in Rochford ward on 26 November was won by Matt Softly. Labour gain from Conservative.
- Wiltshire: The byelection in Salisbury St Edmund and Milford division on 26 November was won by Atiqul Hoque. Conservative gain from Liberal Democrat.
Change of allegiance
- Basildon: Three councillors elected for the UK Independence Party have seceded to form the ‘Wickford Independents’ group. They are Peter Holliman (Wickford North ward) who is to be group leader, David Harrison (Wickford Park ward), and Alan Ball (Wickford Castledon ward).
New vacancies
- Carlisle: Botcherby ward, after the death of Labour councillor Terry Scarborough. Term ends 2019.
- Exeter: Pennsylvania ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Jake Donovan. As his term ends in May next year, he will not be replaced in a byelection.
- Thanet: Newington ward, after the resignation of UK Independence Party councillor Vince Munday who is emigrating to Thailand. Term ends 2019.
Date for byelection
- Carlisle: The byelection due in Botcherby ward will be held on 7 January 2016.
