The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
- Aberdeenshire: The byelection for two seats in Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford ward on 5 November was won by Margo Stewart (Conservative) and Gwyneth Petrie (Scottish National Party). The Scottish National Party held their seat; the Conservatives gained theirs from the Liberal Democrats.
- Torbay: The byelection in Clifton-with-Maidenway ward on 5 November was won by Adrian Sanders, the former Member of Parliament for Torbay. Liberal Democrat hold.
Change of allegiance
- Aylesbury Vale: Julie Ward, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Oakfield and Bierton ward, has joined the Conservative Party.
- Redcar and Cleveland: Billy Wells, who was elected for the Labour Party in Newcomen ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
New vacancies
- Brent: Kensal Green ward, after the death of Labour councillor Dan Filson. Term ends 2018.
- Chiltern: Amersham Town ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Davida Allen. Term ends 2019.
- North East Derbyshire: Coal Aston ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Gary Griffin-Chappel. Term ends 2019.
- North East Derbyshire: Holmewood and Heath ward, after the death of Labour councillor Tricia Williams. Term ends 2019.

- Harborough: The byelection due in Market Harborough Logan ward will be held on 10 December.
- North East Derbyshire: The byelection due in Coal Aston ward will be held on 10 December.
