The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

  • Bolsover: The byelection in Bolsover South ward on 8 October was won by Pat Cooper. Labour hold.
  • Cardiff: The byelection in Riverside division on 7 October was won by Caro Wild. Labour hold.
  • Eilean Siar: The byelection in An Taobh Siar Agus Nis ward on 7 October was won by John Norman Macleod, who stood as an Independent candidate and succeeds another Independent.
  • Highland: The byelection in Aird and Loch Ness ward on 8 October was won by Jean Davis. Liberal Democrat gain from Scottish National Party.
  • South Hams: The byelection in Totnes ward on 8 October was won by Dr John Green. Green Party hold.
  • South Oxfordshire: The byelection in Sandford and The Wittenhams ward on 8 October was won by Sue Lawson. Conservative hold.
  • Woking: The byelection in Goldsworth East ward on 8 October was won by James Sanderson. Liberal Democrat hold.
  • Woking: The byelection in Goldsworth West ward on 8 October was won by Chitra Rana. Conservative gain from Liberal Democrat.

  • Gwynedd: Dewi division, after the resignation of Plaid Cymru councillor Eddie Dogan. Term ends 2017.
  • Gwynedd: Llanaelhaearn division, after the resignation of Llais Gwynedd councillor Llywarch Jones. Term ends 2017.
  • Harborough: Market Harborough Logan ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Peter Callis. Term ends 2019.
  • Malvern Hills: Teme Valley ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Gill Farmer. Term ends 2019.
  • Norfolk: South Smallburgh division, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat county councillor David Thomas. Term ends 2017.
  • Spelthorne: Shepperton Town ward, after council leader Robert Watts was killed in a house fire. He was a Conservative councillor. Term ends 2019.
  • Surrey: Epsom West division, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat county councillor Stella Lallement due to differences of opinion within her party group.
  • Wolverhampton: Bilston East ward, after the death of Labour councillor Bert Turner. Term ends May next year.

  • Fife: The byelection due in Rosyth ward will be held on 26 November.
  • Norfolk: The byelection due in South Smallburgh division will be held on 19 November.
