The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Argyll and Bute: The byelection in South Kintyre ward on 11 December was won by John Armour. Scottish National Party hold.
Aylesbury Vale: The byelection in Gatehouse ward on 11 December was won by Anders Christensen. Liberal Democrat hold.
Aylesbury Vale: The byelection in Southcourt ward on 11 December was won by Peter Agoro. Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
Broxtowe: The byelection in Toton and Chilwell Meadows ward on 11 December was won by Mia Kee. Conservative hold.
Carmarthenshire: The byelection in Trelech division on 11 December was won by Jean Lewis. Plaid Cymru gain from Independent.
Halton: The byelection in Kingsway ward on 11 December was won by Andrea Wall. Labour hold.
Lincolnshire: The byelection in Stamford North division on 11 December was won by Robert Foulkes. UK Independence Party gain from Lincolnshire Independents.
Moray: The byelection in Elgin City North ward on 11 December was won by Kirsty Reid. Scottish National Party gain from Labour.
New Forest: The byelection in Bransgore and Burley ward on 11 December was won by Richard Frampton. Conservative hold.
Sunderland: The byelection in Washington East ward on 11 December was won by Tony Taylor. Labour hold.
West Lancashire: A byelection in Skelmersdale North ward on 11 December was won by Jenny Patterson. Labour hold.
Windsor and Maidenhead: The byelection in Cox Green ward on 11 December was won by Ross McWilliams. Conservative hold.

Arun: Simon McDougall, who was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Bersted ward but had left them to sit as an Independent, has now joined the Green Party.
Brighton and Hove: Leigh Farrow, who was elected for the Labour Party in Moulsecoomb and Bevendean ward, has joined the UK Independence Party. He had been deselected as candidate for the 2015 election.
Northampton: Mick Ford, who was elected for the Conservatives in Delapre and Briar Hill ward, has joined the Liberal Democrats due to a dispute over the selection for the elections in 2015.
Stratford-on-Avon: Peter Oakley, who was elected for the Conservatives in Tanworth ward, has joined the UK Independence Party. He had been deselected as candidate for the 2015 election.

Bedford: Great Barford ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Carole Ellis. As her term was due to end in May next year, no byelection will be held.
St Albans: Marshalswick South ward has two vacancies after the resignations of Conservative councillors Heidi Allen and Seema Kennedy. Both have been selected as Parliamentary candidates, for South Cambridgeshire and South Ribble respectively. Terms end 2016 and 2018.
Shepway: Hythe East ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Keren Belcourt. As her term was due to end in May next year, no byelection will be held.
West Lancashire: It is belatedly noted that Skelmersdale North ward had a vacancy after the death of Labour councillor Barry Nolan. His term was due to end in May next year.

St Albans: The two seat byelection in Marshalswick South ward will be held on 29 January 2015.
Wealden: The byelection due in Crowborough West ward will be held on 22 January 2015.

Birmingham: Following the recommendations of an independent review by Sir Bob Kerslake, the Secretary of State has announced that Birmingham city council will move to all-out elections using single-member wards, starting in 2017.
