Kingston Conservatives hold in New Malden

The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

Kingston upon Thames: The byelection in St James ward on 18 December was won by Jack Cheetham. Conservative hold.
Nottinghamshire: The byelection in Ollerton division on 18 December was won by Mike Pringle. Labour hold.

Basildon: Kerry Smith, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Nethermayne ward, has left the party to sit as an ‘Independence Group’ councillor; he has been joined by Imelda Clancy, who was also originally elected for the UK Independence Party in Pitsea North West ward.
Essex: Kerry Smith, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Basildon Westley Heights division, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Kings Lynn and West Norfolk: Five councillors have joined the UK Independence Party to join their single previous councillor. The new recruits are Paul Foster (West Winch ward), who is the new group leader; Michael Pitcher (Grimston ward), Michael Langwade (Gaywood North Bank ward), June Leamon (West Winch ward) and Stephanie Smeaton (Heacham ward). All but Leamon were originally elected as Conservatives, but the others had already left the Conservatives and were sitting as Independents.
Tendring: Tony Colbourne, who was elected for the Conservatives in Ramsey and Parkeston ward, has joined the UK Independence Party.
Thanet: Rozanne Duncan, who was elected for the UK Independence Party in Cliftonville East ward, has been expelled from the party.

Camden: St Pancras and Somers Town ward, after the death of Labour councillor Peter Brayshaw. Term ends 2018.
Eastleigh: Hedge End Wildern ward, after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Jenny Hughes. As her term was due to end in May next year, no byelection will be held.
Harlow: Mark Hall ward, after the resignation of UK Independence Party councillor Jerry Crawford. Term ends 2018.
Pendle: Clover Hill ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Richard Smith. As his term was due to end in May next year, no byelection will be held.
Rotherham: Silverwood ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor and former council leader Roger Stone. As his term was due to end in May next year, no byelection will be held.
West Berkshire: Purley-on-Thames ward, after the death of Conservative councillor David Betts. Term ends in May.

Harlow: The byelection due in Mark Hall ward will take place on 12 February.
West Berkshire: The byelection due in Purley-on-Thames ward will be held on Wednesday 28 January.
