The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.
Results
Barnsley: The byelection in Penistone West ward on 10 July was won by David Griffin. Labour hold.
Cheshire West and Chester: There were two byelections on 10 July. Martyn Delaney was elected in Boughton ward, and Sam Naylor was elected in Winnington and Castle ward. Two Labour holds.
Cornwall: The byelection in Illogan division on 10 July was won by David Ekinsmyth. Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
North Hertfordshire: The election in Hitchwood, Offa and Hoo ward, postponed from 22 May to 10 July, was won by Faye Barnard (the sitting councillor). Conservative hold.
Torridge: The byelection in Kenwith ward on 10 July was won by Alison Boyle. Conservative regain from an Independent who was originally elected as a Conservative.
Nottingham: Emma Dewinton, who was elected for the Labour Party in Mapperley ward, has left the party to sit as an Independent councillor.
Rotherham: Barry Dodson, who was elected for the Labour Party in Rotherham East ward, has left the party. He had been elected Mayor of Rotherham for the year 2014-15 but resigned four weeks into his term.
New vacancies
Lambeth: Knight’s Hill ward, after the disqualification of Labour councillor Sonia Winifred, who was ineligible for election as she was a teaching assistant at a Lambeth school. Term ends 2018. Winifred has left employment and intends to seek re-election.
Dates for byelections
Lambeth: The byelection due in Knight’s Hill ward will take place on 14 August.
