The latest updates on local electoral information are as follows.

Results

South Lanarkshire: Gordon Muir was elected councillor for Clydesdale South ward on 5 June. Labour gain from Scottish National Party.

Brent: The six councillors elected for the Conservatives on 22 May have formed themselves into two groups of three. The Conservative group will be led by Suresh Kansagra and include Reg Colwill and Bhiku Patel. The Brondesbury Park Conservative group will be led by John Warren and include Joel Davidson and Carol Shaw.
Worcester: Alan Amos (Warndon ward), who was elected for the Labour Party, fell out with the group this week when he was not chosen as their nominee for deputy Mayor. He has become an Independent councillor and was elected Mayor with the support of the Conservatives.
Worcestershire: Alan Amos (Gorse Hill and Warndon division), has also moved from Labour to Independent on the county council.

Castle Point: Canvey East ward, after the disqualification of Gail Barton (Canvey Island Independent Party) who did not attend any council meetings in six months. Term ends 2016.
Harrogate: Hookstone ward, after the death of Liberal Democrat councillor Reg Marsh. Term ends 2015.
Maidstone: Staplehurst ward, after the resignation of Conservative councillor Richard Lusty. Term ends 2015.
Malvern Hills: Wells ward, after the death of Conservative councillor Chris Cheeseman . Term ends 2015.
Northumberland: Longhoughton division, after the death of Independent councillor John Taylor. Term ends 2017.
Oxford: Cowley ward, after the resignation of Labour councillor Helen O’Hara. Term ends 2016.
Reading: Southcote ward, after the death of Labour councillor Pete Ruhemann. Term ends 2015.
Redditch: Church Hill ward, after the resignation of Dave Small who was elected for the UK Independence Party but had been expelled. He has said he intends to stand for re-election as an Independent candidate. Term ends 2018.
Torridge: Kenwith ward, after the resignation of Kathy Murdoch who was elected for the Conservatives but had left the party and was sitting as an Independent. Term ends 2015.

Barnsley: The byelection due in Penistone West ward will take place on 10 July.
Cheshire West and Chester: The two byelections, due in Chester Boughton ward and Winnington and Castle ward, will take place on 10 July.
Cornwall: The byelection due in Illogan division will take place on 10 July.
East Dorset: The byelection due in Colehill East ward will take place on 17 July.
Harrogate: The byelection due in Hookstone ward will take place on 17 July.
Torridge: The byelection due in Kenwith ward will take place on 10 July.

Basingstoke and Deane: The Conservatives will continue to run the council, as a minority administration, after losing their majority in May.
Castle Point: After talks over an all-party administration broke down, the council will be run by the Conservatives in a minority administration.
Dumfries and Galloway: The Scottish National Party has withdrawn from the coalition administration with Labour, leaving a minority Labour administration in control for the time being.
Great Yarmouth: After Labour lost its majority in the elections in May, it will now run the council as a minority administration.
Milton Keynes: There will be a minority Labour administration to run the council, after Labour became the largest party on 22 May.
Portsmouth: A minority Conservative administration has been voted in to run the council. The Labour and UK Independence Party groups supported the election of a Conservative leader but do not form part of the administration.
Southend-on-Sea: A coalition administration has been formed by the Independent, Labour and Liberal Democrat groups.
Weymouth and Portland: There is to be a minority Labour administration on the council.
Winchester: A minority Conservative administration has been voted in to run the city council.
Worcester: After Alan Amos left the Labour group, he joined with the Conservatives to vote out the minority Labour administration and vote in a minority Conservative administration on the council.
