Norfolk county council: Terry Jermy was elected county councillor for Thetford West division on 1 August. He gains for the Labour Party a seat previously held by the UK Independence Party (who won it by one vote in May).
Uttlesford district council: Marie Felton was elected councillor for Felsted ward on 25 July, holding the seat for the Conservatives. This result was inadvertently omitted from last week’s update.
Waveney district council: Byelection on 8 August in Oulton ward after the death of Labour councillor Mike Ives-Keeler. Term ends 2015. His death has given the Conservative administration an overall majority.
Boston borough council: Byelection on 5 September in Fenside ward, after the disqualification of English Democrats councillor Elliott Fountain who has not attended any meetings in six months. There are no meetings before 25 July which he can attend. Term ends 2015.
Charnwood borough council: Byelection on 5 September in Loughborough Ashby ward after the resignation of Labour councillor Chris Carter. There is also a vacancy in Wreake Villages ward after the resignation of Conservative councillor and cabinet member Matthew Blain. Both terms end in 2015.
East Lindsey district council: Byelection on 12 September in Frithville ward after the resignation of East Lindsey Independent Group councillor Steve Doughty. Term ends 2015.
Lincoln city council: Byelection on 22 August in Bracebridge ward after the disqualification of councillor Darren Grice who failed to attend any meetings for six months. Grice was originally elected as a Conservative but was sitting as an Independent at the time of his disqualification. Term ends 2015.
Brent borough council: Impending vacancy in Dudden Hill ward where Liberal Democrat councillor Rev David Clues has said he is intending to resign. He has been living and working in Brighton since December 2011.
Carlisle city council: Byelection on 5 September in Yewdale ward after the death of the Leader of the Council, Professor Joe Hendry, who was a Labour councillor. Term ends 2015.
Cumbria county council: Two election petitions have been lodged against councillors elected in May. They are Maryport South division (won by Keith Little, Labour) and Moss Bay and Moorclose division (won by Gerald Humes, Labour).
Cornwall council: Byelection on 5 September in Wadebridge East division after the resignation of Independent councillor Colin Brewer, prompted by a report from the Monitoring Officer into his comments about disabled children. Term ends 2017.
Forest of Dean district council: There are two vacancies, both caused by the deaths of councillors. Coleford East ward was vacated by the death of Labour councillor Frank Baynham. Redmarley ward was vacated by Conservative councillor Peter Ede. Both terms end in 2015.
Swindon council: Byelection on 8 August in Haydon Wick ward after the death of Conservative councillor and former Mayor Rex Barnett. Term ends 2016. The Conservatives would lose their overall majority if they did not hold the seat.
Torridge district council: Byelection on 15 August in Shebbear and Langtree ward after the resignation of Conservative councillor John Lewis. There is another byelection on 5 September in Torrington ward after the resignation of Liberal Democrat councillor Geoff Lee who is moving away from the district. Both terms end in 2015.
Flintshire county council: Vacancy in Mostyn division after the disqualification of Independent councillor Patrick Heesom by the Adjudication Panel for Wales. Heesom has stated his intention to appeal to the High Court, which would have the effect of reinstating his membership while the appeal is decided.
